Bisi Alimi had a rough start in life but he’s come a long way, and he reminisced about his humble beginning after his portrait was unveiled at the Aldgate East tube station in London.

The gay rights activist told of how he grew up in a one-room home where he lived with his entire family but now has his portrait in a strategic spot where millions of Londoners traveling daily can see it.
