ASABA—SENATOR Ovie Omo-Agege (APC Delta Central), weekend, said All Progressives Congress, APC, is bent on winning the 2019 governorship election in Delta State, noting that the people of the state were in a hurry to vote out Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Speaking at an interactive session with journalists at his country home in Orhomurhu-Orogun community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state, the lawmaker reiterated that there was no crisis in Delta APC.
He said: “What we have are pressure groups, which some people have referred to as factions. At the end of the day, we are one party. Even in PDP, there are different pressure groups.
“We will win in 2019. There is a hunger to take over Government House. The people of Delta State are suffering. The people want change. They gave Okowa benefit of the doubt, but the man has failed.
“Teachers are in pains, civil servants are crying, they can’t even feed. Pensioners are crying, everybody is in trouble. We are hell bent on winning in 2019.
“All we are seeking is how we can come up with a good candidate, an acceptable candidate, a grassroots candidate, a candidate the electorate will call their own.”
