Media aide to former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode, Jude Ndukwe has said politicians defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) lacked electoral value.

He made this known following the announcement of Ademola Adeleke of the PDP as the winner of the Osun West Senatorial by-election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The election was held in 10 local government areas making up the district.

The winner, who is the younger brother of the late Sen. Isiaka Adeleke, had 97, 480 votes to defeat a former senator, Mudashiru Hussein of the APC, who had 66, 116 votes.

Taking to his Facebook Page, the leader of the Movement for the Advancement of National Transformation (MANTRA) congratulated the PDP for its victory.

”So upon all the celebrated defections from PDP, the party still flogged APC turn turn at the polls today.

”When I tell you that a majority of those defecting from PDP to the ruling APC have no electoral value, you people won’t believe. Congratulations PDP!” Ndukwe wrote.
