The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has declared his unalloyed loyalty to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje as a marked of a new beginning between the two personalities.
Sanusi made this known on Tuesday while delivering his speech at the traditional Hawan Nassarawa, held at Africa House, Government House Kano.
“My loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari and the government of Kano Emirate Council is necessary and vital to the development of economic growth of Kano”, Sanusi said.
The monarch however assured that he would do everything within the ambit of his powers to ensure that both the Federal and state Government achieved its mandate of making the nation a better place to leave.
Responding, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, called for peaceful coexistence between Kano indigenes and non-indigene communities, saying “In Kano, the non-indigenes are our brothers. We always see them as partners in progress.
“They are contributing to economic development of the state and therefore, we must live in peace with one another. I urge the non-indigenes to consider Kano as their home and live in peace with their host communities.”
He said Kano state government has donated 27 Hilux cars to security agents and as well build houses and communication rooms on the roads linking Kano and Kaduna to other states.
