Caf have appointed Burkinabe referees for this month’s Confederation Cup game between Nigeria’s Rivers United and Kampala Capital City Authority in Port Harcourt.
Rivers lost the reverse fixture 2-1 in Kampala and would hope to turn things around when they host the Ugandan side in Port Harcourt.
Juste Ephrem Zio is the referee with his two assistants, Seydou Tiama and Max Phillipo Toe, who are also from Burkina Faso.
The fourth official, Boukari Ouedrago, is also from Burkina Faso while the match commissioner, Frederick Eric Crentsi,l is from Ghana.
Alexander Sakyi Asante, who will act as the game’s general coordinator, is also from Ghana.
Meanwhile, head coach of the Nigerian side Stanley Eguma believes failure to defeat the Ugandan club will effectively end Rivers’ hopes of reaching the quarterfinals.
